Fellow Democrats:
We are entering a critical period for our party. Many races, local and state, will determine our future as North Carolinians. Get involved in electing our Democratic candidates.
Candidates in Pamlico County:
North Carolina Senate
Barbara Garrity-Blake is a candidate for the NC Senate District 2 seat. She has a PhD in cultural anthropology and has served on the state Marine Fisheries Commission. Barbara is a Democrat who lives in Carteret County. She will be speaking at our county convention on April 17. 2010.
North Carolina House
Alice G. Underhill has been an effective North Carolina House member. We in Pamlico County have been strong supporters of Alice. Please give her your continued support.
County Commissioners
Ann Holton & Paul Delamar are running as at-large County Commissioners
Jasper Spain is running in District 3
Carl Ollison is the District 4 candidate
Clerk of Superior Court
Steven E. Hollowell is incumbent, and we need him in this capacity.
Pamlico County Board of Education
Reginald Hawkins is running at–large
County Sheriff
Billy Sawyer is incumbent.
Please get involved with the campaigns and support our Democrats.
This list will lengthen as other Democrats file for office.
Note:
Money collected at the precinct meetings and county convention will go to the Pamlico County Democratic Party to fund a Democratic Headquarters for this fall’s election. It will be open in September, October and early November.

Democratic precinct meetings are free and open to any registered Democrat residing in Pamlico County. Meeting attendees elect delegates to the Pamlico County Convention, April 17, 2010. The convention is held at the Bayboro Courthouse with a coffee hour at 9:00 am and the convention following at 10:00.
